Maloney to be on Republican Primary Ballot

Katherine Maloney, a Republican candidate for Circuit Court Judge, has prevailed in electoral board hearing decision that was released on December 8, 2009. The Will County Electoral Board overruled the objections made by fellow candidate Cook County lawyer Phillip Spiwak. The hearing was held on December 2, 2009 before Chairperson Nancy Schultz Voots, Will County Circuit Clerk; Pamela J. McGuire, Will County Circuit Clerk, and Mary Tatroe, representative of James W. Glasgow, Will County State's Attorney.

The Board in its decision found that candidate Maloney's election petitions were in compliance and that she had more than enough signatures to be placed on the February 2, 2010 Republican Primary ballot.

Ms. Maloney, an attorney for over the past fifteen years stated, “I am pleased that the Republican voters in my Will County Sub Circuit will have a choice with regard to an important elected office in Will County.”

Katherine Maloney, a lifelong Will County resident, is a Republican candidate for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, 1st Sub Circuit, which includes the Village of Plainfield. The Republican Primary will be held on February 2, 2010.
