Carl Buck joined RCK Law Firm in 1999 after working as a felony prosecutor for the Will County State’s Attorney. He became a firm partner in 2003 and works from the Plainfield office.
Mr. Buck focuses his practice on commercial and contract litigation, zoning and school law. His clients include corporations, contractors, developers, and individuals.
A native of Plainfield, Carl graduated from Joliet Catholic High School before attending the Citadel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a U.S. Army veteran having served as a platoon leader in the 101st Airborne Division. Buck earned his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
Mr. Buck is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Will County Bar Association, and a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School Center for Trial Advocacy and practices throughout Northern Illinois, predominantly in Will, Grundy, DuPage, Cook, Kane and Kendall Counties.
Mr. Buck is a past president of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce where he was named the Chamber’s “Advocate of the Year” in 2005.
Carl participates in triathlons in his spare time. In 2007, he finished his first Ironman triathlon in Lake Placid, NY.
