Scott Pyles is a partner of Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol, LLC and has practiced law for more than 25 years. His practice is concentrated in the area of civil litigation, personal injury, election law, and social security disability.
Mr. Pyles has tried more than three dozen cases to verdict and has successfully argued numerous cases on appeal, including one to the Illinois Supreme Court. He practices in Will County, Illinois at the firm’s Joliet location. Among his cases was a recovery of 1.5 million for a client involved in a motorcycle/bus collision and a $950,000.00 arbitration award for a client injured in an automobile collision.
Scott grew up in New Lenox, IL, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University. He is a member of the Will County and Illinois State Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Pyles was an intern at the Illinois Lt. Governor’s office, McLean County State’s Attorney Office, and with Will County Legal Assistance. He has served as a Will County Special Assistant States Attorney, City Attorney for the City of Braidwood, and a member of the State of Illinois Anti-Crime Advisory Panel. He is the past President of the Will County Bar Association and current chair of the Will County Democratic Committee where he has been involved in appointments to both the Illinois House and Senate.
