VALERIE BARICH

For nearly a decade, Valerie has been representing individuals suffering with disabilities and serious personal injury. Her distinction is more than her tenacious advocacy for clients who have suffered serious injury. It’s her decades-long exposure to the medical field, and the impact that serious injuries have on an individual and their family. It’s her focus on soft tissue injuries often difficult to define and even harder to treat. It’s the cases she has successfully won that were viewed far too difficult or small to accept. It’s the cases she has taken to trial where the opponent refused to negotiate on good faith.

Her accomplishments as a personal injury trial attorney have resulted in three-time recognition by her peers as an Illinois Super Lawyers’ Rising Star in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Her past trial experience includes:

  • Construction Worker Awarded $1.8 Million for Chronic Neck Pain and Post Concussion Syndrome
  • Teamster Awarded $1.2 Million for Career-ending Hand Injury
  • Auto Accident Victim Awarded $367,500 for Soft Tissue Injury and Chronic Pain

Valerie is a 1992 graduate of Illinois State University, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Speech Communication. She has received national awards in informative and persuasive forensic competition. She is a 1998 graduate of University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she placed first in moot court competition, and completed guest studies in trial advocacy at DePaul University.

She is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Will County Bar Association.
